Before Ever After by Samantha Sotto

20 Jan

I finally got myself a copy of “Before Ever After” 🙂  I met the wonderful Sam Sotto during a photo shoot that I did for Preview Magazine.  I did her makeup at National Bookstore in Power Plant, Rockwell.  And while Kissa Castaneda, the Lifestyle Editor of Preview Magazine, was interviewing her, I was so inspired by Sam.

Meet Samantha Sotto, author of the novel "Before Ever After". Being photographed by Pat Mateo 🙂

After its release in the US, it placed fourth on Amazon's Hot List

This is Sam’s very first novel.  She would take her son to school everyday and while waiting for him, she would be busy writing her novel in a Starbucks in Katipunan Avenue! 🙂 She used to be a brand manager in Unilever and now she’s a published author.  You are such a supermom, Sam, and an inspiration to all of us!  Anything is truly possible 🙂

With Kissa, Sam and Jerry

"Samantha Sotto fell in love with Europe's cobbled streets and damp castles as a teenager. Before Ever After was inspired by her experiences living, studying and traveling in Europe."

I cannot wait to start reading Sam’s novel.  I hope to see you again soon, Sam! Please sign my book! 🙂 Now off to begin Before Ever After… 🙂

Heima: Home and Lifestyle

9 Jan

Kissa from Preview Magazine booked me for hair and makeup for this photo shoot. It was a feature on the talented Rossy Yabut, interior designer and owner of Heima, a home and lifestyle store 🙂

Super cool totes 🙂

I so want this chair.

This is the one and only Jerry Javier, celebrity hairstylist, doing a little shopping 🙂 Look at those awesome bags by School of Satchel! 🙂

Me with Rossy 🙂 Love the bright lips on Rossy!

You guys should definitely check Heima out for unique pieces for your home.  They now also carry paper products, vinyl records and has also become a space to promote independent designers such as School of Satchel.  This is one of the coolest stores I’ve ever been to.  Had so much fun looking at their unique stuff and kept wishing I could re-decorate our room, Heima style! Little by little 🙂
