Black Market No. 2

8 Mar

“Let our rebel yell resonate. We are Blackmarket.”

The day we arrived in Singapore, Dante and I were excited to visit Blackmarket. Β This will be the future home ofΒ 13 Lucky MonkeyΒ in Singapore.

It’s a super cool store that carries a lot of different brands from various designers in Southeast Asia and more πŸ™‚

So chic and hip. Β It’s the perfect boutique for the Lucky Monkeys!

We first found out about this boutique through our very good friend and super talented Filipino designer, Gian Romano. Β I was one of the lucky ones because Gian designed my beautiful wedding gown. Β I just had to share… Below is me wearing my Gian Roman gown. Memories… πŸ™‚

This photo was taken for a wedding feature in Preview Magazine πŸ™‚ Photographed by the very talented, Wawi Navarroza. Makeup by Jigs Mayuga and hair by Ney Guese, very dear friends of mine πŸ™‚

Blackmarket sells accessories, bags, eyewear, shoes, books and other things I’ve never seen anywhere else πŸ™‚

While exploring the store, I spotted this section and I knew right away this was Gian Romano’s collection πŸ™‚

I was so happy to see a familiar name on the labels of these super cool and edgy tops and dresses! πŸ™‚

To all our friends living in Singapore and to those who will be flying there anytime soon, be sure to visit Blackmarket No. 2 atΒ #02-10 Orchard Central, 181 Orchard Road, Singapore πŸ™‚

Also watch out for 13 Lucky Monkey! Coming soon! πŸ™‚

Chapeau Show

20 Dec

This photo shoot was one of my favorite shoots for the year 2011 πŸ™‚ It was Preview Magazine’s tribute to PMAP (Professional Models Association of the Philippines) on their 25th year called “Chapeau Show” (Chapeau is French for hat.) Photographed by the amazing, Pat Dy πŸ™‚

I was assigned to do makeup on these three stunning ladies… Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Girlie Benitez…

… and Phoemela Baranda. They all joined PMAP sometime in the year 2000 πŸ™‚

Phoem and Girlie getting ready for the shoot! πŸ™‚ Aren’t they beautiful? πŸ™‚

This shoot was a few weeks before Rissa’s Wedding πŸ™‚ I could just imagine how radiant she looked on her wedding! Congrats, Rissa! πŸ™‚ Loved the soft, furry coat πŸ™‚

I was sooo happy to see my dear friend, Jigs Mayuga, the Great πŸ™‚ You’re soooo thin. I’m so jealous. Missed you, Mads!!!

And here’s the super talented Ogie Rayel from Kiehl’s, who did the hairstyling for Phoem, Rissa and Girlie πŸ™‚

Another person I love working with is Sidney Yap. He was our fabulous stylist for this shoot πŸ™‚

The look for makeup was smokey gold eyelids πŸ™‚

Here is the spread that came out in Preview Magazine September 2011 issue πŸ™‚
