The Ultimate Empanada

One random evening, we decided to drive all the way to Katipunan from Makati… all for this Ilocos Empanada 🙂

My son, who’s not a big fan of eating anything new, would rather eat his chicken nuggets from Mcdo.  So we made sure he had his snacks before me and Dante did 🙂

My husband loves Ilocos Empanadas.  And I have always loved Vigan longganisa.  We noticed there weren’t a lot of these everywhere.  But thank God, we now know where to go when the craving for these Ilocos Empanadas comes back 🙂

There’s a little place in Katipunan called Farinas Ilocos Empanada 🙂

Dante and I both ordered the Extra Special Ilocos Empanada (Only P69).  In the extra special one, there’s one egg, two pieces of longganisa and vegetables.

There’s some chili sauce on the table.

And some special Ilocos Vinegar.

Poked a few holes on the crispy empanada before pouring the vinegar.

SO YUMMY.  Eggs, longganisa and vegetables in a crispy shell.  WINNER.  A must-try!
