My Amiguru-Minis

21 Sep

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Lately, I’ve been crocheting smaller dolls.Β  I realized they’re much simpler to make than my big dolls.Β  I call them my amiguru-minis πŸ™‚Β  I used almost the same pattern for the superheroes and just made everything smaller πŸ™‚

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

They look like chubby baby superheroes πŸ™‚

Here’s a yuppie zombie I made based on the pattern of Christen Haden’s book called Creepy Cute Crochet πŸ™‚Β  I just added arms and legs.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And since I’m such a fan of Game of Thrones, I crocheted my favorite character, Jon Snow.

“You know nothing, Jon Snow.”

Can’t wait for the fifth season πŸ™‚

And finally, I was able to crochet Elsa, a character the litte girls love.Β  I haven’t even seen the movie! Haha!

Just to give you an idea how small these doll are… Here is cute little Erin holding Elsa πŸ™‚

I’ll be making more of these amiguru-minis πŸ™‚Β  Stay tuned πŸ™‚

I really want to do more characters from Game of Thrones but their costumes are so detailed.Β  Oh let’s see what I can come up with πŸ™‚

Hope you all had a restful weekend πŸ™‚

My Handmade Little Caterpillar

17 Apr

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My latest handmade project was a hat for an 11-month old baby πŸ™‚Β  I asked my 5-year old, Crow, to try out the hat. Hehe πŸ™‚Β  It still sort of fits.

The hat is based on the book, “The Hungry Little Caterpillar”.Β  Also one of my son’s favorite books when he was a baby πŸ™‚

I had a lot of fun making this hat.Β  Basic shapes and basic colors.

Project: Counting Sheep

10 Jul

photo 1

PROJECT: COUNTING SHEEP. Β A project I made especially for a friend’s baby πŸ™‚

photo 2

These are the sheeps’ stuffed bodies and legs. Β I love the clean, white yarn.

photo 5

These are the heads. Embroidered an X for their eyes.

photo 3

Perfect material to hang the sheep on the wooden ring. Found this twine in the Wrap Shop in Rockwell. Thanks, Dants, for helping me find this one! It’s perfect.

photo 4

Had to hang the bodies first before attaching the heads. Sounds so morbid. Haha!

Attached some extra yarn above their heads for some sheep bangs. Sheep bangs! Sheep bangs! πŸ™‚

Sorry, some of my friends are camera shy πŸ™‚

IMG_9484lores

I was supposed to put a black sheep in the mix. There’s always a black sheep in the family. Haha! But my friend requested for a blue sheep instead πŸ™‚ Hi Blue!

IMG_9489lores

Finally, after weeks of crocheting and assembling, they’re finally ready to meet their new owner! πŸ™‚

IMG_9490lores

I was so bothered by what Dante said regarding the “X” eyes of the sheep. That in cartoons, it means they’re dead. Β LOL. Bought some wooden buttons for the eyes right away! I don’t want to give dead sheep!

IMG_9487lores

Now they’re wide-eyed and even cuter. Thanks, Dants! πŸ™‚ (Dante, my fiercest judge. LOL!)

To Margaux, my friend, I hope your son enjoys the company of my little fluffy buddies and will help him sleep more soundly at night πŸ™‚

Sweet dreams πŸ™‚

A Handmade Knight

20 Apr

photo 2

This is my latest amigurumi creation… The Dark Knight! πŸ™‚ Β And I think he is my secret favorite. Β Hehe…

IMG_8629lores

First of all, his basic color scheme are my two favorite colors. Β Black and grey.

IMG_8626lores

It was also my first time to use suede cloth as a cape πŸ™‚

IMG_8624lores

I used to crochet the capes as well but I like the way the suede cloth flows.

I’m very happy with how Batman turned out πŸ™‚

So who will win in this battle?!
