Curry Wurst, Anyone? Bamm!!!

5 Aug

One rainy evening last week, Dante took me to dinner at this place called Bamm located at The Collective, the very first German-Turkish comfort food restaurant in Manila 🙂  All he asked me was, do you want to have sausages for dinner? Hehe I remember we enjoyed sharing some sausages with curry sauce in the foodcourt at Glorietta 4.  And then it disappeared.  But I really enjoyed those sausages.  He told he me he found a place that served sausages similar to those but better 🙂

Love the name of this place.  Bamm.  So easy to remember. Haha!

My date staring at the menu, excited to be here 🙂

I didn’t really know what to order.  I just told Dante I wanted those sausages that I had before with the curry sauce.  So I ordered the Curry Wurst with Chips.  And Dante ordered the Beef Doner Sandwich.  I didn’t even know what a Doner was til that evening.  Haha!  Oh and we also ordered Moussaka.  Hungry, hungry! 🙂

There were several interesting books on the shelves.  Perfect to read while waiting 🙂

The one we were reading was a book about grunge.  Found a picture of my favorite singer/drummer, Dave Grohl 🙂

Previous diners just left 🙂

Dante ordered some beer mixed with soda.  They call it the Bamm Radler 🙂

And I had a rich yoghurt smoothie, strawberry 🙂  YUM.  (Lasang yoghurt talaga.  Haha! Sarap.)

More reading materials while we wait for our food 🙂

And my Curry Wurst and Chips have arrived 🙂  LOOK AT THAT…  It was sooo delicious.  Even the chips tasted so fresh.

The Curry Wurst and Chips came with this super crispy bread (I thought at first, why is there a vegetable tempura on my plate?)  Crispy bread pala siya with a little honey poured over it.  Wow!  That was a great combination on my plate.  Sausage, chips and bread with honey…

And then came Dante’s order, the Beef Doner Sandwich.  It kind of reminded me of a Shawarma.  But in a sandwich form.  The thin bread that held the beef and vegetables was something I’ve never tried before 🙂  I loved it, too.  Winner, winner.

Dante’s chili dipping sauce 🙂

And here comes the Moussaka…  YUMMY to the Nth level.  We did not make a mistake with our orders that evening.  Everything was a winner!!! 🙂  Oh and look what the Moussaka came with… more crispy bread with honey! Woohoo! 🙂

It was just so perfect that they named this restaurant, Bamm! Because that was exactly how I felt after that awesome meal!!!

Bamm!!!

Visit Bamm located at The Collective, 7274 Malugay Street, Makati 🙂 They’re open from Tuesday to Sunday 🙂
