When I am not busy with my makeup gigs, I am usually at our little nail salon called Belle & Cat Nail and Wax Studio as our part-time receptionist. I’ve always pretended to be one when I was a kid. Either that or pretending to work at a grocery as a cashier 🙂
Being a receptionist for real is not as easy as I thought it would be. First, I need my cup of coffee to begin my shift.
Make sure the lucky frog is facing the door with the coin in its mouth for goodluck 🙂
Prepare flyers for first time walk-in clients. Here’s my DYMO to label our bottles of polish by number 🙂
Know all products and services by heart.
Be prepared to answer any question clients ask 🙂
Know all therapists by heart.
Make sure each client is attended to by their therapists.
List down what services each client is getting and the assigned therapist.
Prepare client’s receipt.
Plan our promo for the month. (Meet one of my partners, the lovely Isabel 🙂 )
Treat each client like kings and queens 🙂
Make sure clients are happy,
Make sure therapists are happy,
Rain…
or shine 🙂
Lock up. Then we start all over again the next day 🙂 It ain’t easy but I love my job 🙂

Awww…Cats, I miss Belle & Cat so much!! Such a great place to chill out with you girls, hangout and most of all get the greatest nail and spa services! 🙂 In Belle & Cat, everyone is welcome and treated like family. That’s why it is so special. By the way, I think playing a receptionist as a kid is way cooler than playing teacher teacher all day. I used to terrorize my stuff toys if they didn’t pay attention in class! haha. 🙂
